He maintains an active meditation practice, and values social and environmental justice highly.

Jeff McIntire-Strasburg, Ph.D.

Social Media and Web 2.0 Expert: A former English professor, Jeff is one of the original members of the "green blogosphere": he founded sustainablog in July, 2003. Since then, he’s built a wealth of knowledge in blogging and other forms of social media/ "Web 2.0," and put them to use at Green Options Media (which he co-founded), Treehugger, and the Sundance Channel’s SUNfiltered blog. A resident of St. Louis, MO, Jeff enjoys spending time in the city’s parks, restaurants, and coffee shops. He also teaches occasionally at Webster University and Saint Louis University.

Nathan Brown

Chief Consulting Officer: Nathan is a self-taught strategic web business consultant & coach to social entrepreneurs. His areas of experience include: labor saving and automation, list building/lead generation, direct email marketing and sales, on and offsite SEO, link building, content generation, joint venture brokering, organizational development and governance, and the emerging health and sustainability markets. He lives at Dancing Rabbit, an off-grid Ecovillage. He limits his personal income to less than $25,000/year, living simply in alignment with his values. He likes to spend his free time in service to his community doing a variety of things including: mediation, emotional healing, and playing with the community's kids.

Walter Pilmon

Chief Developer: Walter has lead web development teams for several years, successfully launching corporate websites, intranets, extranets, e-commerce sites, portals, online marketing campaigns, interactive Flash sites and online contests. His expertise includes ASP, PHP, ASP.Net, Javascript, Flash, Actionscript, XML, SQL Server, MySQL and Ajax.

Chris Toomey

Database Consultant and Software Developer: Chris graduated from Northeastern University majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics. He has worked as a design engineer, a technical sales engineer, and as a consultant computer programmer focusing on design automation. Chris is well versed in Visual Basic and VBA as well as SQL, and is currently learning Objective-C for work with Mac OS X and iPhone applications. He helps develop proprietary software for SEO analysis for JB Web Analytics. Aside from technical pursuits, Chris has worked as a professional magician.

Anne Davies

Social Media Product Manager: Anne is a British ex-pat and blogger currently living in NYC, driven overseas by her passion for fashion. Fluent in French, Anne was awarded a scholarship to study in Paris at age sixteen, setting off her desire to immerse herself in different cultures and social settings. After obtaining a BA in Sociology, she went on to teach art, designing large scale displays with preschool children. Having had enough of paint-stained overalls, she decided to jet off across the globe to start as a publicist in a boutique PR firm in Manhattan.

Joseph Valoren

SEO Account Manager: Joseph lives outside Philadelphia, and is currently a biology student. He is an independent learner, possessing a cosmopolitan suite of skills that he brings to his position, skills learned and honed in his extensive travels throughout the world. In his own words he "utilizes a fierce sense of empirical reason in both his academic and professional life, where he excels at data crunching and manipulation.

Shawn Schmalz

Web/Graphic Designer: Shawn has a strong passion for all things creative. Pushing pixels around the page to create rich, standards-compliant websites is at the top of that list. He is fluent in CSS/XHTML markup as well as all things Adobe. When not slaving in front of the screen, interests in photography and music composing take center stage.
